56-year-old Susan Wojcicki was the chief executive officer of YouTube from 2014 until 2023. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, broke the news of the passing of a truly remarkable woman. Mateusz Morawiecki’s distant cousin was Wojcicki.
“Unbelievably saddened by the loss of my dear friend Susan Wojcicki.” Sundar Pichai shared the sad news on X. Wojcicki has been fighting cancer for two years, the CEO of Google said. Moreover, Pichai went on to say that Wojcicki was pivotal in Google’s early days and that “it’s hard to imagine the world without her.”
“She was a wonderful person, leader and friend who had a tremendous impact on the world,” according to him.
